Trump’s Failings 😵

Trump is slandered perhaps more than any politician in history.

He gets called a racist and an authoritarian.

The media implies that the future of US democracy is at risk if Trump wins the presidency.

These criticisms are patently absurd.

He was president for four years and despite what the media says, the US economy thrived, the world was more peaceful than it was before his presidency and certainly more peaceful than it is today 🕊️

But Trump certainly does attract his share of justifiable criticism.

The latest example occurred last Friday when he criticized the Fed and Jay Powell, arguing that as president, Trump should have a say in interest rate setting policy.

Well, having the executive branch involved in monetary policy is probably the biggest mistake any country could make in macroeconomic policymaking.

But for the sake of argument, let’s say Trump doesn’t win the presidency.

Would he want Kamala Harris to have that power?

There is no doubt he wouldn’t ❌

How can Trump be so illogical in his thinking?

He probably doesn’t even know.

Who Is Ahead In The Polls? 📊

The media would have us think that Kamala Harris is running away with the race.

But that is the media’s bias, and it is inaccurate.

The most respected pollster in the US these days is Nate Silver, and he has strong Democratic leanings.

In his words, “it’s a 50/50 race.”

Kamala Harris has momentum, but that’s not at all surprising 🤷

Trump had been running against Joe Biden, who was perhaps the worst candidate the Democrats have ever had.

But now, Trump is running against the second worst candidate the Democrats have ever had.

So, one would think that this election would be a slam dunk for Trump 🥇

But the biggest problem for Trump is that he happens to be the candidate for the Republican party.
